Mike Corey is a Sportscaster for ESPN and NBC and does Play-by-play on TV for College football, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball and softball.  In addition, he has also called volleyball, rugby, water polo and MMA during his career and has also spent time working with CBS and Fox Sports.  His professional broadcasting career began as the Voice of the Delaware Blue Hens on the radio from 1999-2012.  He began calling TV games in 2002 for NESN, Comcast Sportsnet, CN8 and MASN. 

In 2008, he was hired by NBC as the Play-by-play voice for Field Hockey for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.  He also called the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics.  

Mike has called 5 Olympics in total, including the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics for Westwood One Radio as the Play-by-play voice for Speedskating.  He also called 3 NCAA Women’s basketball regional finals for the network as well.  

In 2011, Mike was hired by ESPN and has worked for the Network since and has called multiple NCAA football bowl games, NCAA college basketball’s NIT, the NCAA lacrosse playoffs and the NCAA Field Hockey National Championship.  He has also called NCAA football bowl games for ESPN Radio.

Mike is a three-time winner for Delaware Sportscaster of the Year (2010, 2005, 2003) by the National Sports Media Association and four-time winner of Best Presentation and Sports Play-by-play by the Delaware Press Association.  He is still active in the Community and has helped with various non-profit organizations including the SL24 Foundation for Mental Health Awareness, Special Olympics Delaware, Autism Delaware and the Delaware Kids Fund.

He also currently teaches a TV Sportscasting class during the Spring and Fall semesters at the University of Delaware for the Communications department which began back in the Spring of 2022.  Mike grew up in Brattleboro, VT and graduated with a B.A. in Communications from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1999.
